Duo Percussion is thrilled to announce that both of its members, Brennan Connolly and Dave Robilliard, will be playing in the percussion section of the Ontario Festival Symphony Orchestra on their upcoming tour of China. The two-week tour will take place from December 26th, 2011 until January 8th 2012 and will consist of seven concerts. The orchestra will begin its touring in the Beijing region including concerts in Suzhou and Yancheng and will then travel south, playing concerts in Nanjing, Hangzhou and the surrounding region. Maestro Jerome Summers will lead the orchestra in their two programmes which both feature music by leading Canadian and Chinese composers such as Godfrey Ridout, Ronald Royer, Michael Conway Baker as well as Dvòrak’s Symphony No. 9 – “From the New World”, Sibelius’ Finlandia and Anderson’s timeless holiday classic, Sleigh Ride.
